The start of the new year saw the launch of alseda’s internal project “Nextgen – Join in, get fit”! The main objective of the project is to give employees with little or no experience in the SAP banking environment a better understanding of the processes within the applications SAP Payment Centralization and SAP TRBK and their interrelationships.
What is the NextGen project?
alseda Consulting’s internal NextGen project offers new employees the opportunity to gain their first practical experience in our core competence, the SAP S/4HANA Banking for Payment Centralization. We rely on a playful but structured learning environment within the agile project method Scrum.
Professionals in SAP Payment Centralization & Scrum
Our young talents learn the individual project steps and tools, understand complex payment processes and build their knowledge of interfaces, regulatory requirements and process chains in a hands-on way. In a protected environment, they are allowed to make mistakes, reflect and grow – before applying this knowledge directly to client projects.
Through the project, colleagues learn the right way to deal with customers and agile project management based on realistic project requirements created by experienced project managers. In keeping with the name “NextGen”, it is our trainees and young professionals who are participating in the project, with the advantage that they can take their new knowledge and experience back to their existing client projects and add greater value.
The project offers both technical and business tasks, so that both developers and consultants are challenged in their respective areas of expertise. As in a customer project, there are work packages of requirements from the customer (or product owner) that need to be delivered within a sprint.

In concrete terms, this means, for example, creating new current accounts and linking them to business partners, as well as enabling SEPA credit transfers and direct debits. For each sprint, the project managers appoint a Scrum Master who is responsible for the team, customer contact and scheduling throughout the sprint. The project is supported by the project managers themselves, who play the role of both customer and expert, helping us with business and/or technical issues.
