In many companies, incorrect or manipulated supplier bank details only surface after the payment has left – as a returned payment or, in the worst case, as a fraud loss. Verification of Payee, mandatory since October 2025, is carried out on the bank side and therefore late in the process. Companies that opt out lose that control point altogether.

In our workshop at Rethink! Strategic Treasury & Financial Risk 2026 we show how IBAN and account holder can be verified automatically before the payment is executed – and why integration into SAP is what makes the difference: the check takes effect where master data is created and changed, and where payment runs are released, with no media breaks and no additional manual steps.
